В статье характеризуются Международные фестивали молодежи и студентов как один из важных инструментов общественной (народной) дипломатии. На примере трех Международных фестивалей - I (Прага, 1947 г.), VI (Москва, 1957 г.) и ХII (Москва, 1985 г.) освещаются и анализируются формы и методы работы молодежи по выработке общей позиции по отношению к урокам Второй мировой войны, в борьбе за мир и международное сотрудничество. Показывается, как в сложных условиях противостояния государств периода «холодной войны» международные фестивали способствовали формированию позитивного имиджа СССР, объединению усилий в борьбе против войн и агрессий, за дружбу, социальную справедливость и равноправие.
The article defines International festivals of youth and students as one of the important tools of public (national) diplomacy. Through the example of three International festivals - I (Prague, 1947), VI (Moscow,1957) and XII (Moscow, 1985) the article describes and analyzes the forms and methods of youth work in order to develop a common positionin relation to the lessons of World War II in the struggle for peaceand international cooperation. It shows how International festivals contributed to the formation of a positive image of the USSR in difficult circumstances of the Cold War and promoted efforts in the fight against wars and aggressions for friendship, social justice and equality.
