История холодной войны как история эмоций: на примере гонки ядерных вооружений

Аннотация
В последние 20 лет началось систематическое изучение эмоций в различных областях знаний, в том числе в международных отношениях. Это привело к развитию новой методологии изучения эмоций, а также к росту количества работ, в которых эта методология используется.
В статье намечаются перспективы применения методологии изучения эмоций в международных отношениях на примере гонки ядерных вооружений. Она была важным фактором холодной войны и провоцировала разнообразные эмоции у всех ее участников: страх, тревогу, гнев, надежду. Избранная методология позволяет уточнить и углубить знания о происходивших в тот период политических и социальных процессах, таких как формирование идентичности, восприятие друг друга, ведение публичной политики и принятие политических решений.
